Dr. Joanne Fava

DC, CCSP

Dr. Fava is a sports medicine chiropractic physician and a 1994 graduate of New York Chiropractic College. She has practiced in Venice, Florida, for 17 years. She is vice chair of the Florida Sports Foundation, medical adviser to the International Softball Federation and past president of the United States Sports Chiropractic Federation and the Florida Chiropractic Association Sports Injury Council. She is medical coordinator for the Florida International Triathlon, Venice YMCA Triathlon, Englewood YMCA Triathlon and Sarasota Sharks Triathlon. She is a contributing author of the “Trunk and Viscera” chapter in Conservative Management of Sports Injuries, second edition, Hyde and Gengenbach, 2009.

Dr. Fava’s practice is predominantly sports rehabilitation and sport-specific conditioning, and she treats patients in the Sarasota County professional, elite, college, recreational, high school and youth forums. She currently is enrolled in the board certification diplomate program in sports medicine. She has been involved with Graston Technique, LLC since 2002 and has been a GT instructor since 2003.
